WAX BURNOUT KILNS / OVENS
LOST WAX CASTING and the lost wax kiln used for it - starts with carving a shape in wax..., making a mold of the wax shape, and then casting that shape into metal from the mold. THE BURN OUT... The wax in the mold must then be burned out in the kiln - also called a wax burnout oven or furnace. The metal is then poured onto the empty crucibles to cool.
THE KILN IN THIS COLLECTION also work as a jewelry burnout kiln for metal clay, enameling, fused glass jewelry, ceramic jewelry, in labs or even as small folder kilns for bladesmiths.
So how do you make your choice?
- how much space you need? (how tall/wide are your molds?)
- what temperature do you need to go to? (What metals will you use?)
-
and lastly, where can you plug it in? (How much juice do you have?)
