ROUND SHAPED KILNS
The round kiln is the granddaddy of all kiln designs. Round kilns are super economical to run due to their efficient heat management. Round ceramic kilns and almost always top-loading and have elements on the sides, Round glass and dual media kilns have elements on the top and sides to deliver control and heat where you need it. These kilns are the work horses of commercial ceramic production studios and small glass studios worldwide.
Gas and electric Raku kilns are almost always round, which makes it safer and easier to extract what you need without any impingements.
