OVAL SHAPED KILNS
An oval ceramic, pottery, or glass kiln has the advantage of length; side-to-side and depth; top-to-bottom. With an oval kiln you get a lot of kiln volume for the price. It's a very economical choice! With heat from the side and top, you get the best of both worlds at a price that's typically lower than other shaped kilns. With that said, the design or oval ceramic, pottery, or glass kilns is "old school," meaning that you sometimes must sacrifice the corner space for the width, length, and depth you receive. In exchange, you definitely get a lot of bang for the buck. We've found this configuration to be especially true to temp as well.
