Glass Casting is a generic term for a wide variety of techniques used to form glass in a mold, such as kiln casting and hot casting. Hot casting includes pouring molten glass into a mold or form. Kiln casting involves melting glass in a mold inside a kiln. There are various ways to cast glass. From melting frit (ground glass) in a ceramic or plaster mold to pouring hot molten glass into a mold to achieve a particular shape, each method is unique and different.
