The Evenheat Studio Pro 28 builds on Evenheat's Dual Access Design and offers the glass artist a large studio kiln uniquely designed for full, unrestricted access. The Studio Pro 28 features front and top access, a wall-free design, Optional Rampmaster and TAP controllers with Swing View, wonderfully large handles and lift assist all wrapped up in a well engineered and tested design.
Like the Original Studio Pro, the design of the Studio Pro 28 was driven by the demands of glass work. Glass work is a fairly active process. It relies heavily on visual cues, opening and closing while firing, fast action and all sorts of movement. It's a lot of fun and the Studio Pro 28 only adds to the enjoyment. It doesn't hinder, compromise or get in the way. It just works well. The Studio Pro 28 also works very well in the more traditional firing styles such as metal clays, low fire ceramics, enamels and china painting. While not as active as glass, these types of firings do require a kiln that's properly designed and built for use. Since the Studio Pro 28 is an Evenheat design, you know you're getting that as well. The Studio Pro 28 will fire any ware up to 1800° F (982° C).

Why Upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays?
Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.
