The deluxe GL-64AD Professional Series glass kiln will help you to unlock your potential as a glass designer. The kiln quickly pays for itself by producing large glass panels, curved windows, lampshades, or production loads of small pieces. The GL-64AD is proudly made in America by skilled workers. It is designed for those whose livelihood depends on glass production.

The kiln includes features not found on competitive kilns. For instance, mercury relays are standard on this kiln for your peace of mind. Relays send power to the elements on command from the digital controller. Mercury relays found on the GL-64AD are industrial-grade and far outlast mechanical relays. The life of the quiet, reliable mercury relay has been measured in millions of on/off cycles.
The 16” depth is ideal for glass sagging. Optional sidewall heat offers greater control of sagging and bending. The Sentry 12 key digital controller is standard.
The GL-64AD has eight peepholes along the front. When ordering the Orton KilnVent, be sure to specify whether you want peepholes. Optional 2” solid steel casters require factory-welded mounting plates, so specify at the time of order.
The massive lid is easy to lift with Paragon's patented LiteLid spring counter-balance, which does away with cumbersome pulleys and cords and dramatically reduces lid weight. Unlike pulleys and weights, the LiteLid is self-contained on the kiln. There is no need to drill holes in the ceiling for pulleys. The LiteLid sharply reduces wear between the lid and top rim of firebrick. The truss and floating lid allow expansion of the lid. The GL-64AD comes with three LiteLid assemblies. The lid is insulated with 1” ceramic fiber and 3” ceramic fiberboard. Replaceable heating elements mount in lid fiberboard grooves. The groove eliminates element pins since the element coils are wider than the groove opening.
2 1/2” insulating firebrick lines the walls and bottom. A welded 2" tubular steel frame reinforces the kiln for long life. We are so confident in the GL-64AD that we back it with a two year warranty.
Paragon’s GL-64AD is made for years of rigorous firing. A double heat shield and air gap between the kiln and ventilated switch box help keep electrical components cool for long, trouble-free service. Costly heavy-gauge nickel-plated copper wiring is covered with high temperature glass-braided insulation. The thermocouple, which senses temperature inside the kiln, is protected with a high-nickel stainless steel sheath for long life.
NOTE*** This kiln is delivered fully assembled. No assembly is required on site. Large capacity kilns require the customer to have a forklift that can move the kiln from the truck to the desired location. If you do not have access to a forklift, check the internet or yellow pages for small moving companies that can take the freight off the freight carrier and move the freight to the desired location. Give any prospective mover a physical description of the kiln and its weight, and inform them that it is designed to be picked up with a truck to a forklift only. It is your responsibility to move the freight from the truck to its place of use.
