The Evenheat V8 multi-purpose glass kiln is sized perfectly for home studios, teachers, instructors and test kiln use. It's capable of all firing types and techniques including glass, vitrigraph, ceramic, metal clays and more. Its stackable design makes placement easy, especially with vitrigraph work.
The V8 kiln is also equipped with a patent pending relay access port. This port essentially lets you simply remove a plate that is on the side of the control panel to gain access to the relay for replacement purposes. Normally one would have to remove the entire control panel to replace the relay. Very cool, quick and not overly technical.
The V8 easily transforms into the ultimate Vitrigraph kiln with its OPTIONAL Vitrigraph base accessory. Vitrigraph use highlights include a corner mounted thermocouple which offers more usable floor space and allows for larger pots up to 7.25" (competitor models have less usable floor space and are limited in pot size to about no larger than 5.5").
The V8 is capable of all firings up to 2350°F (1260°C). Acceptable materials include glass, ceramics, metal clays, metal processing, enamels and china paint. Designed with convenient use in mind the V8 operates from a standard household plug.
Why Upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays?
Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.

Evenheat Kiln - V8
Excellent! So happy I do not have to babysit the kiln. Just follow the instructions that accompany the kiln and enjoy the results.
Vitrigraph Kiln
It is exactly what I ordered with a few blemishes. The base was bent and the brick crumbled away in spots. There was no damage to the box it was shipped in, which leads me to believe all damage was done in factory. The kiln was shipped in a timely manner and Kilnfrog kept me informed during shipping. I love the kiln.
