Place molds evenly on the removable expanded metal top.
(If your crucibles or molds are heavy, we recommend placing a ceramic post or other small ceramic support inside the center between the tray and the grate as a support so that over time the grate does not bow or bend inward. Over time, heat can soften the metal and this may occur.)
