It's big... it's long... it's deep... who could ask for anything more! The 514 Slider has a sliding floor for ease in loading and glass manipulation. The Slider is bolted to an 18" heavy angle iron stand and comes completely assembled when shipped. The gas strut opens the firing chamber with ease and the sleek wooden handle keeps things cool as you slide the kiln floor out to a fully extended 65" front-to-back. The model has an element in the lid of the kiln to provide radiant heat needed when fusing temperature is reached and elements in the kiln walls for conductive heat.
Elements in the firing chamber are used to evenly heat the glass piece and the lid element is used when fusing temperature is reached. Models have a maximum temperature range of 1700°F to protect the optional quartz glass viewing window but can be reprogrammed to fire to higher temperatures.
