The Evenheat KH 418 is designed for knife makers whose shops and workbenches come with a mortgage. Simply plug the KH 418 into any standard 120V household receptacle and you're ready to go.
The KH Series takes its design from our well regarded KF Series. It's a rugged and solid design that serves the knife maker well. Available with our TAP Touchscreen or Rampmaster.
Why Upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays?
Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.

Product is great. I work out of town and it took months to get the kiln to the freight company that handles the delivery. I returned, a week after the freight company finally received it, to messages from kilnfrog saying I had to pay the freight company 20$ per day for storage for every day I wasnt available to arrange delivery. Either I pay this or I pay 400+$ to return and restock the kiln to kilnfrog. It literally took months for the freight company to even receive the kiln and since I wasnt available to be contacted when they received it, I apparently owed hundreds if I wanted to have it delivered, or to return it. I'd like to see kilnfrog arrange delivery date so after waiting months for the product the customer doesnt have to pay hundreds for something that should be handled with the initial order. I would have gladly arranged a date and time when ordering. Working out of town I am unable to be reached at times and no customer should have to pay hundreds extra after waiting months for details that should be arranged upon the initial order. This being said kilnfrog was able to arrange delivery without extra expense. Thank you to kilnfrog for adapting. It is much appreciated
