The Xpress-Q-11 fires rapidly to 2350F. Since the kiln opens from the front instead of the top, it is ideal for copper enameling. The Xpress-Q-11 is a true multipurpose kiln.

The Xpress-Q-11 comes with the Genesis Mini Touch Screen Controller, which is mounted in the kiln base (instead of a side switch box) to save table space. The front control panel is tilted for easy operation.

A 1/2” hole is stamped into the steel door case and includes a brushed stainless steel cover. We have left the firebrick behind the hole undrilled so that you can drill it to the exact size that you need for a peephole, vent hole, or extra pyrometer hole. (Most people do not need the hole and leave the firebrick undrilled.)

The Xpress-Q-11 heating element, exposed in dropped, recessed insulating firebrick grooves, is easy to replace. The 2 1/2” thick firebricks store plenty of heat for slow cooling through the glass annealing range. For small glass pieces such as jewelry, you can anneal without having to turn the elements back on during cooling. (Extra heat is necessary for annealing large pieces, however.)

Unlatch and open the door with one hand. No extra stand is needed; the built-in base stays cool during operation.

*NOTE: The window in the Q-11 is only available as a 1" x 3" window.

    LOVE MY KILN

Before I even purchased my kiln, the staff at Kiln Frog were extremely helpful in answering my many questions and helping me decide on the best kiln for me. Their customer service is great. This kiln is wonderful to use and my enamel pieces fire evenly and quickly. I seldom have over- fired pieces which is a great improvement over experiences with my previous kiln. I was worried it would be too confusing to program so I called Kiln Frog and they walked me through the steps. Easy peasy. It can fire other media so I may try glass or PMC. I wil just create additional programs for them.

    Perfect Kiln!

An excellent kiln for small projects. Easy to use. Doesn’t heat up the house. Excellent temperature control. Takes a bit to learn how to set your program but then it is very easy to use. Outstanding construction and engineering. Highly recommended.
