Doing Good One Kiln at a Time... Join Us!
The Kiln Frog team is committed to making a difference in our community and across the country! We work hard each day to contribute a portion of our profits to organizations we know make a big impact toward healing our world. Our involvement and support of charitable organizations that do good is in the very heart of every Kiln Frog employee.
We are proud to support Reforged.Org, a non-profit 501(c)(3) peer-to-peer support program that offers a variety of activities to help Veterans and First Responders with PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder. Connecting them with like-minded people, resources and counseling services in their community. Based in San Antonio, Texas, Reforged.org serves Veterans and First Responders from all fifty states.
Making Knives, Saving Lives
A sense of purpose together with a peer-to-peer support system is key to recovery. All of Reforged's programs exist to help alumni increase their support network. Alumni volunteer to support one another. Someone in the Reforged family is available every day to talk to people who need support.
Trying to Shape a Sharper Future
Reforged openly hides and integrates a peer support program into the webbings of their blacksmithing classes. The blacksmithing class is used to draw interest for the program, but Reforged's goal is to create a peer support network of like-minded individuals. Every portion of the blacksmithing class has metaphors that can be used for overcoming adversity and seeking support. Their goal is not only to support their alumni in making a knife, but also to find a place where they feel at home. Reforged opens the forge up to alumni once they come through the class with the mindset that "what's ours is theirs", and welcome them back with open arms.
The Ties that Bind Us / Repurposing Our Hands
The leatherworking program teaches alumni to make sheaths for their knives and provides a new class environment once the knife making is done. Reforged offers a free jewelry making class to Vets, First Responders, and spouses. The class expands the support to those who support their Vets and First Responders on a daily basis.
Forging a Family
Reforged alumni are able to gather every month for family dinner or other Reforged family events. Some of the most difficult times our alumni may experience are anniversaries and holidays, and the Reforged Family provides support so our alumni do not have to face these challenges alone.
You Are Not Alone
Reforged offers free counseling services to Veterans and First Responders. They have licensed health professionals available to support the Reforged Family. They provide counseling services with a trusting relationship in mind and do not report to government agencies. Alumni do not have to worry about jeopardizing careers or facing judgement.

Kiln Frog and Reforged thank you in advance. With your help and support you will help more veterans and first responders utilize their resources and create more activities. 100% of all proceeds go to funding all aspects of the Reforged program. Their volunteers are unpaid to ensure the program has enough funding to buy supplies for their equipment. They regularly need propane, grinding belts, tape, epoxy, 550 cord, dish soap, leather, kydex, and many other consumables to ensure their program is able to run and provide a class that meets their standards.
