Save money and energy with an Olympic Medallion Artist Series kiln!
Olympic’s Medallion Artist Series models can be fired every day with high-performance heating and controlled cooling providing a perfect firing every time.
Olympic’s proven electrical box design with heat shields and top and bottom perforations keep the electrical components cool, and balanced heating elements ensure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions. Solid green electrical boxes save you the cost of extra parts required for boxes on stackable electric kilns.
Extra insulation by using 3" brick means less energy consumption and more efficient firings. Models are high-fire cone 10 kilns.

Should I Upgrade This to A Dual Media Kiln?
Dual Media kilns are designed for the individual or business that works with multiple media. The dual design for reaching high firing temperatures for stoneware, pottery, ceramics, and the lid element for fusing glass provides the versatility needed. You can turn the lid element on and off when you need it saving your element's life and electricity. Oval dual media kilns are built with a 2" blank brick row in the first section of the kiln to protect the elements when loading and unloading the kiln. All Dual Media models high fire to 2350°F and have a lid element to fuse glass.
Why Upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays?
Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.

I love the simplicity of the digital controls. Loading and unloading is easy, especially for my wife who is short.
I'm just getting ready to do my first load of high fire test glazes I made for my porcelain pieces.

I'm still organizing molds into their slots. I've cured the kiln but not used it yet. May be another month or so before I get to pouring and firing. Building a little at a time on what I have to work with. Sorry I couldn't help more. Maybe later.
