NEW! Better Venting Options! Evenheat now offers a Two-Position Lid Vent. The lower vent position props the lid up by about an inch. Perfect for venting off adhesives and other low-temperature binding materials. The upper vent position props the lid by about 4 inches. Perfect for speeding up the cooling process.
NEW! An easily identifiable Maintenance Tag! To assist you in replacing worn items we have included a maintenance parts tag on the GTS 2541 indicating the proper Evenheat part numbers for anticipated maintenance items. Wish we had this decades ago.
All these improvements build on the legacy of what artists have come to expect from GTS line.
Top Load
The GTS 2541 is a top loading design and offers a chamber 41" wide x 25.25" long x 13.5" deep. The rim of the chamber is 32" off the floor which is at waist height or lower making it very easy to load and position your glass.
All Firebrick Design
Staying true to its roots, the GTS 2541 is built completely of firebrick. Firebrick is desired in a glass kiln as it stores heat in the beginning of the firing which acts to smooth out temperature swings. It then
releases heat slowly at the completion of the firing resulting in very calm annealing, especially over an annealing range. It's just beautiful.
Lid Lift Assist
Large firebrick lids like that found on the GTS 2541 are quite heavy. To assist in opening and closing we have equipped the GTS 2541 with our patented Dyna-Lift lid lift assist.
The Dyna-Lift lightens the force needed to operate the kiln lid by attaching and lifting at a single point; the lid handle. The lift assist is not attached to the kiln chamber at all. All heavy lifting forces
are directed entirely to the kiln base and not the kiln itself. It's a wonderful design that places no lifting forces onto the chamber which
would only weaken it.
The Dyna-Lift Lid Lift Assist is the best designed, best performing lift assist available.
Swing View Equipped
GTS 2541 temperature controls are fitted to our Swing View Adjustable Enclosure.
The swing view is a pivoting, swing-up enclosure that allows you to rotate the control to a comfortable viewing and programming angle. Once
you're done, lay it back down to see it from across your studio.
The swing view pairs well with touchscreen controls like the TAP II, Icon+ and Icon as viewing angle can be perfectly aligned.

Relay Access Port
The GTS 2541 incorporates our Relay Access Port for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement. Simply
remove the access plate to gain access to the mechanical relays. There's no need to remove the control panel and dig into the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and all it takes is a
screwdriver!
It's a given that mechanical relays will fail at some point. This relay access port really comes in handy when they do.
Curved Element Routes
Heating element routes in the GTS 2541 lid are all curves. There's not a straight line to be found. These curved routes promote additional
element retention.
OPTIONS:
TAP II, Icon, Icon+ or Rampmaster III Controls Option: The GTS 2541 is available with your choice of the TAP II, Icon or Icon+ temperature controllers. The TAP II, Icon and Icon+ are touchscreen-style and offer full programming functions. While Rampmaster III is a 12-key digital controller is a great alternative for those who don’t want a touchscreen.
Rolling Option: The GTS 2541 is easily made mobile with our rolling option. The GTS 2541 base is equipped to accept our casters. No frame or extra hardware is required. Simply attach the casters to the standard base, and you're ready to go! Casters are not factory-installed. You will install them when you first set up your kiln. It's designed to be easy, and it is. They can always be added later as well.
Why upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays? Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.
Excellent, the kiln is great, easy to use and I am getting desired results

Totally enjoying the size of the new kiln. The TAP control unit was so worth the extra money. I loved it enough that I purchased one for my other kiln. Now I can monitor and control both of them from my phone or iPad. Kilnfrog was great to work with through the whole process, quick to answer any questions I had.
