The Top is Easy to Lift
Heavy-duty air pistons lighten the top. The comfortable lid handle stays cool and extends across the width of the kiln for convenient opening. A woven rope seal mounted on all four sides of the top acts as a gasket and cushions the top. The mating surfaces between the kiln top and bottom are hardened and sealed with a special refractory coating.The top of the kiln is protected with a sleek outer black sheet metal cover. The element connectors in the lid stay cool because of ventilation slots and a 3” air gap between the outer cover and a secondary inner steel cover. As you can see, we have gone all out in the sturdy construction of the CS-26.
Quartz Tubes Help Eliminate Dust
The lid elements are protected in six quartz tubes for a cleaner kiln interior. There is less dust in the kiln because there are no element grooves in the firebrick top, which is one continuous, smooth surface. The quartz tubes protect the elements from contamination with foreign materials that could shorten the element life. The tubes absorb very little heat, allowing the elements to heat the firing chamber efficiently. For unsurpassed heat distribution, the CS-26 includes not only quartz-tube-enclosed elements in the top but also three rows of sidewall elements. The sidewall element coils are protected in dropped, recessed grooves for long life.Mercury Relay for Your Peace of Mind
The CS-26 has features not found on many competitive kilns. For instance, a mercury relay is standard on this kiln. The relay sends power to the heating elements on command from the digital controller. The industrial-grade mercury relay in the CS-26 far outlasts mechanical relays. The life of the quiet, reliable mercury relay has been measured in millions of on/off cycles. The mercury relay is the longest-lasting relay we sell.Easy Maintenance Control Panel
The sleek CS-26 is designed for easy maintenance. You can quickly remove the sloped front control panel for easy access to the electrical components. They are thoughtfully laid out for quick maintenance inside a large working area. The ventilation slots keep the control panel cool. The control panel includes an on/off switch and a pilot light. For your convenience, flip the switch to turn off power to the controller.Reliability at the Heart of the Kiln
The CS-26 has a two-year warranty. The temperature sensor, or thermocouple, is sheathed with high-nickel stainless steel for long life. A heavy steel base supports the reversible brick bottom completely. The base comes with mar-proof rubber feet. The walls and bottom are made from hand-selected insulating firebricks. These features are extra assurance that your Paragon kiln is built to last.
Costly heavy-gauge nickel-plated copper wiring is covered with high temperature glass-braided insulation. The thermocouple, which senses temperature inside the kiln, is protected with a high-nickel stainless steel sheath for long life. The CS-26 uses the digital 12-key Sentry 2.0 controller.
Water-Based Paint
The CS-26 is painted with a durable high temperature, water-based finish. We chose water-base paint because of the low emissions during spraying. This creates a safer working environment for our employees and cuts down on pollution.

I am so excited to begin using my new kiln, but the weight is causing a delay. I have put the stand together..,,now to get the kiln up onto it!
CS-26 Kiln
The purchase and delivery of this big kiln went smoothly. Kiln Frog is highly recommended for a reason. The only thing that went wrong was the kiln was ordered in blue but came in black. Not an issue at all with me though. Lifting this 500 pound kiln onto its stand was the only tough part after delivery. It took four strong guys to lift it by the handles and onto the stand. Took less than two minutes when we did it. Programming the Sentry 3.0 controller requires reading the instructions several times but it becomes second nature quickly. It’s thrilling to be able to fire larger projects now with this kiln.
