The Studio Pro 24 builds on Evenheat's Dual Access Design and offers the glass artist a large studio kiln uniquely designed for full, unrestricted access. The Evenheat Studio Pro 24 features front and top access, a wall-free design, Optional Rampmaster or TAP controller Swing View, wonderfully large handles and lift assist all wrapped up in a well-engineered and tested design.
Like the Original Studio Pro, the design of the Studio Pro 24 was driven by the demands of glass work. Glass work is a fairly active process. It relies heavily on visual cues, opening, and closing while firing, fast action and all sorts of movement. It's a lot of fun and the Studio Pro 24 only adds to the enjoyment. It doesn't hinder, compromise or get in the way. It just works well.
The Studio Pro 24 also works very well in the more traditional firing styles such as metal clays, low fire ceramics, enamels and china painting. While not as active as glass, these types of firings do require a kiln that's properly designed and built for use. Since the Studio Pro 24 is an Evenheat design, you know you're getting that as well. The Studio Pro 24 will fire any ware up to 1800° F (982° C).
The Studio Pro 24 Furniture Kit includes one (1) 20” square shelf, four (4) 1” posts, a 24oz. bottle of kin wash and a haik brush.
Why Upgrade from Mechanical Relays to Solid-State Relays?
Mechanical Relays, which come standard on most kilns have internal moving parts which over time wear out and need to be replaced. Kiln manufacturers recommend you replace your mechanical relays approximately every 2 years. Solid-state relays have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. Since solid-state relays also have no moving parts to wear out, they NEVER need to be replaced. You will notice that solid-state relays are silent. The only sound you will hear is just the reassuring hum of the heating elements. So, this factory upgrade saves you potential down time from having to wait for new relays to arrive, potential over-fires from relays sticking in the closed position, potential aggravation from having to learn how to remove and replace the mechanical relays yourself. We think this upgrade is well worth the cost and will save you time and aggravation over the life of your kiln.
This is a great kiln. Definitely built for the hobby artist in mind, who do not have wide open access to their studio. Don't get me wrong, even in pieces it is very heavy. But with handles in place, we managed it to carry it into our basement. Fired it already multiple times with only good results. Thanks to Kilnfrog for recommending this kiln.
Fabulous Kiln and Customer Support
My new Evenheat Studio Pro 24 works perfectly! It came expertly packed and Kiln Frog was wonderful with working out the delivery date around a trip I had taken. They also worked with the shipper in the last minute to have the kiln delivered into my garage. I have used this kiln a few months now and it heats evenly and consistently. The Tap controller allows me to create firing schedules and monitor firings from my smartphone. I most heartily recommend Evenheat kilns and Kiln Frog. In fact, I have already ordered a Covington Sander from them and looking forward to receiving it.
Studio Pro 24
Once I got use to lifting the heavy clam shell lid, my experience has been excellent. The kiln is very well insulted and performs beautifully. I like the RampMaster 3 controller. KilnFrog technical support as well as Evenheat have been wonderful on answering questions. I would definitely recommend this kiln and the KilnFrog staff.
