Jen-Ken Kilns has a new and exciting twist on front-loading knife ovens. This revolutionary design is constructed of the most rigid and durable, light-weight refractory fiber material that has outstanding heat retention.
No more wasted time or electricity as the unique fiber construction of the new Fiber Front Loader 12, or FFL12 as we like to call it, allows the oven to heat and cool quickly as it reaches annealing temps in less than 90 minutes!
The heavy-duty coils in the FFL12 are suspended across the top of the oven so direct radiant-heat evenly surrounds all the blades. Older technology, long-body kilns, heat from the sides and the back, creating uneven heat at the back of the kiln. With the top-down heating elements of the FFL12, these hot spots are eliminated allowing you to evenly heat from tip to tang!
The heavy-duty coils are also encased in quartz tubes to protect the elements from oxidation, delivering longer element life. Quartz wrapped tubes assure safer operation since you can't touch the element coil with any tools or blades eliminating the chance of a shock! Best of all... no power interrupt switch required!
The doors of the FFL12 are equipped with replaceable fiber door gaskets. This allows you to customize the fit and prevent heat loss over time. Think about the savings you'll receive on your electrical bill!
The FFL12 comes with a standard 3-button controller loaded with the most popular normalizing, tempering, and heat treatment schedules. Upgrades to a 12-button controller for ease of programming or the popular TAP smart touchscreen controller, are also available.
